82° TECH is a new technology advocacy group for companies creating and developing technology in Sarasota and Manatee counties. The organization receives administrative support from a partnership of the economic development organizations in Manatee and Sarasota counties.
82° TECH focuses on:
- Increasing public awareness of the growing technology community in the two-county area
- Improving the business climate for technology companies by developing critical resources
- Facilitating educational/social opportunities for the area’s technology companies
Information Services
82° TECH provides a network for exchanging information and best practices among technology-based companies and links members with potential investors, service providers, customers, business partners, and other tech-based organizations. We do this through email notices, guest articles, forums, panels, and events.
Financial Assistance Services
We help businesses locate, access, and determine a strategy for funding sources, including bank loans, credit lines, Small Business Administration loans, and private equity firms.
Business Development Services
82° TECH links emerging, technology-based businesses to sources of management and business assistance services. Through a cooperative program with Startup Florida, local universities, and the Chamber of Commerce Small Business Council, companies receive help with marketing plans, defining new markets for existing technologies, or developing manufacturing strategies for high-tech products.
