History

Suncoast Technology Forum, (STF), formerly known as 82 Degrees Tech, was founded in 2005 by a group of local entrepreneurs, professionals and the Sarasota and Manatee economic development organizations. We’re a professional association of people united to make the bi-county area a place where technology-based business and innovation thrives.

As of  January 1, 2010, STF formed a strategic partnership with the Tampa Bay Technology Forum (TBTF). This powerful alliance positioned our respective organizations for significant growth in membership and greatly enhanced the value delivered to our business community. To reflect this alignment, 82 Degrees Tech initiated a re-branding of the organization to emerge as the Suncoast Technology Forum.
